SAN CRISTOBAL INTERPRETATION CENTER AND TIJERETAS HILL

This is a short visit, so it can be made early in the morning or in the afternoon, The visit to the Interpretation Center in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno that is consider the local branch of the Galapagos National Park Service, here is where your guide will explain you from the formation of the islands, how the flora and fauna arrived and got established in Galapagos and some of the local culture as well. Then you will keep walking through a Palo Santo and Opuntia forest to get to the famous Tijeretas Hill, from this viewpoint you will see the bay where Charles Darwin stepped on the first time to the Galapagos Islands.

On this bay you also have the opportunity to practice snorkel with sea turtles, sea lions and reef fish.
