Bring with you sunscreen, a rain and warm sweater, your camera and comfortable hiking shoes.

We start this day early in the morning with a 30 minutes drive to our first stop: El Junco Lagoon, the only fresh water lagoon in Galapagos, special wildlife as well as unique flora can be seen during this visit. Then, we continue driving to Puerto Chino, a beautiful white sand beach (watch out for horseflies). You will follow a trail where you can find the endemic Opuntia cactus until you get to the white sandy beach of Puerto Chino. Here, you can have a short hike passing by the lazy sea lions that sleep on the beach, towards the beautiful blue footed boobies resting on the rocks. From the top, you will have an amazing ocean view and you might see some sea turtles in the turquoise seawater. We will get back to the car so we can head to La Galapaguera, the local Giant Tortoise breeding center with wooden walkways and occasionally Giant tortoises walking free around the area. To get to the center, you will walk from the entrance towards the incubation area for around 20 minutes. On this hike you might have walk by a tortoise, as they walk free in this area! After the tour your driver will bring you back to town or you will have lunch on a nice restaurant, depending on your reservation.

If you are more of a sportier person you can also do mountain bike, either all the way or just downhill from El Junco.
