KICKER ROCK (LEÓN DORMIDO)

Early in the morning you will get onboard a speedboat and sail to the rock formation in the middle of the ocean called Kicker Rock (León Dormido that means “sleeping lion” in Spanish as the locals say it looks like). First, you will have a boat ride around the formation to observe the different species of birds that use this rock as a nesting place. Afterwards, the boat will stop and you will jump from the boat to snorkel the canal in between the 2 rock formations. Beware that the currents may be strong as you are snorkeling in open waters without being able to see the bottom. Here you will have the chance to spot different shark species (sometimes even hammerheads!), turtles, rays and more. In some time of the year you might encounter jellyfish which can sting (these are not dangerous), however a wetsuit can be provided (at extra cost) when this is the case. After the snorkeling you will continue to Manglecito beach or a similar beach and enjoy a lunch box onboard. At Manglecito beach, you will have a nice beach walk around a white coral areas or you can relax and swim in shallow waters before returning to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
